Please take a moment to read this page completely as I will explain how to use the site and the lessons.
How do I navigate the site?
To get back to the main course listing, click on the white left-arrow circle next to the CorePiano logo in the top-left portion of your screen or click the ‘All Courses’ link in the main menu.
To view the lessons, click on any lesson name on the left-side of the page (desktop). Lessons with a check mark have been completed:
To complete a lesson, click the green ‘Complete and Continue’ button in the top-right:
Note – once you mark a lesson as complete, you can not mark it uncomplete.
How do I manage my account?
You can manage your account by clicking on the ‘Account’ link in the main menu or by going here.
Within your account page you can update your name, email and password. You can also see your course progress:
What order should I do these lessons?
First of all, these are YOUR lessons.
This means you are free to move between lessons and view them as much as you want.
I suggest you work through the lessons in order, so begin with the 30-Day Piano Playbook™ then move on to Piano Essentials™, and so on.
If you want to check out the other courses while working on the 30-Day Playbook, that would be fine. Just remember, if you get stuck or frustrated, go back and work the program in order.
How much should I practice?
It is best to practice these lessons 5 days a week for at least 15-30 minutes for best results. However, even 5 minutes a day can garner progress at the piano.
I also recommend practicing away from the piano. You can download the sheet music, carry it with you, and review it away from the piano.
When you have finished a lesson, click the ‘Complete Lesson’ green button at the top of the page to record your progress.
Sheet music and resources
Sheet music and backing tracks (when available) can be downloaded within each course.
Some sheet music and downloads are reserved solely for full Jazzedge members.
To download the sheet music, click on the Orange button found within the Resources section in each lesson. Drum tracks can not be downloaded but they can be played from within the browser.
What if I have questions?
Why should I upgrade to Jazzedge?
CorePiano™ is a great place to start, but it only scratches the surface of what you’ll learn with a full Jazzedge membership.
Here are how the two sites compare:
- 11+ hours of content
- Good place to get your ‘feet wet’
- Weekly office to ask music questions
- No new material
- No access to coaching
- 800+ hours of content
- Weekly coaching to get feedback
- Full access to all courses
- New material added weekly
- Access to many styles, rock, funk, etc.
Where are the Sheet Music & Resources?
